Government to Develop 100 Industrial Parks Under BHAVYA Scheme

Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal launched the guidelines for the BHAVYA (Bharat Industrial Development Scheme) on May 23. Under this ambitious initiative, the government plans to develop 100 industrial parks across the country.

The scheme has been allocated a financial outlay of ₹33,660 crore. In partnership with state governments, the initiative will establish plug-and-play industrial parks aimed at creating manufacturing and investment hubs in India.

The Union Minister stated that the Central Cabinet had approved the scheme nearly two months ago. The central government expects state governments to provide a favorable environment for promoting industrial growth and investment.

Piyush Goyal further informed that applications for the first phase will be invited over the next four months. During the first two months, applications for 20 industrial parks will be invited. In the following two months, applications for another 30 parks will be accepted.

The remaining 50 industrial parks will be included in the next phase of the scheme. The government is inviting applications from states and Union Territories (UTs) to ensure rapid implementation of the project across the country.
