AI Cameras to Monitor NEET-UG Examination
To ensure a fair and cheating-free environment in the NEET-UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - Undergraduate) examination for medical admissions, strict measures have been implemented this year.
AI-powered cameras will be installed at every examination center to monitor suspicious activities. In addition, multiple levels of identity verification will be conducted for all candidates appearing in the exam.
How Will Candidates Be Verified?
Identification will be carried out through Aadhaar-based biometric verification, along with physical checks and verification of documents submitted by candidates. These checks will be performed at multiple stages to ensure authenticity.
After allegations of irregularities and paper leaks in NEET-UG 2024, the Supreme Court directed the formation of a high-level committee to strengthen the examination process. Based on its recommendations, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has implemented these strict measures.
According to senior officials of NTA, every aspect of the examination process is being closely monitored and reviewed.
Candidates with disabilities have also been asked to submit complete details of their requested scribes (writers) by April 21, so that proper verification can be conducted.
