Kami Rita Sherpa Climbs Mount Everest for 32nd Time
Nepalese mountaineer Kami Rita Sherpa created history on May 18 by successfully climbing Mount Everest for the 32nd time, breaking his own world record for the most ascents of the world’s highest peak.
The 56-year-old climber reached the summit of the 8,849-meter-high Mount Everest while leading an expedition operated by 14 Peaks Expedition.
The field office at Everest Base Camp confirmed the successful ascent.
Nepal’s Department of Tourism congratulated Sherpa, stating that his achievement highlights the country’s significant contribution to global mountaineering and its international reputation.
