Aryaveer Diwan Wins Under-19 Asian Junior Squash Championship
On May 24, Aryaveer Diwan won the prestigious title at the 33rd Asian Junior Individual Squash Championship held in Panzhihua, China, becoming the fourth Indian male player to be crowned the Under-19 Asian champion.
Seeded third/fourth, Aryaveer defeated South Korea's Jonghyuk Lee, who was seeded fifth/eighth, in the final in less than an hour with scores of 11-2, 11-7, 11-9. India returned from the championship with one gold, three silver, and four bronze medals.
Aryaveer, who hails from Delhi, had previously won the boys’ Under-17 title in the same tournament last year.
